Leon Beimer and his son Eric, of Beimer Cabinets in Rowena, Texas will be making the cabinetry for the house. Steve Gains, our builder, has always called on the Beimer family to create the custom cabinets for the homes he is building. We met with these men yesterday in their shop for over an hour. We were impressed with their attention to detail, design skills, and very clean shop.

I just found your blog and have gone back and looked at the whole (whew) thing. It is good. Your house is lovely, you are so calm and it seems to be going wonderfully for you. We built our home over 4 years ago, (2002) and we are still trying to recover. It was a disaster from start to finish. The only time I tried to take pictues of the work in progress, the brick layer told me to lose the camera 'right now lady'. It is good to know not everyone had a bad experience.

No one has ever told me to "loose the camera lady," but a few have growled at me.
