This is our very first full bluebonnet of the season! Rita showed us two weeks ago all the small bluebonnets ready to burst open on our place and ever since we have been anticipating the day they would start to bloom, well today we found the very first full bloom. The bluebonnet is the state flower of Texas and grow wild everywhere here and within a few days we should have a sea of blue covering our place. I can't wait to see what that will look like! The weather and rain fall have to be just right for this delicate little flower to bloom and we are hoping for a little more rain in the next few days to nurture them along.
