Leveling the Pad

Gary, the concrete man and his helper came today to level the house pad. They had to shovel out by hand much of the foundaiton caliche they trenched last week. The recent rain caused these ditches to fill back in. They take the caliche out of the ditch, put it back on top of the foundation pad and then smooth it level.

Gary told us he would come back tomorrow to retrench the front porch foundation ditch. There was just too much caliche in that ditch to shovel out by hand.
