Beautiful Bluebonnets

The Bluebonnets are in full bloom. They line the side of the highways and roads with their beautiful blue color. We see continuous large patches like these as we drive back and forth to town each week. These pictured are located in front of Aunt Geneva's house in Eldorado, TX.
We go over to the property everyday to water trees we planted last month. We walk around on the solid cement slab picturing in our mind how it will all look in a few short months.

First Bluebonnett

This is our very first full bluebonnet of the season! Rita showed us two weeks ago all the small bluebonnets ready to burst open on our place and ever since we have been anticipating the day they would start to bloom, well today we found the very first full bloom.
The bluebonnet is the state flower of Texas and grow wild everywhere here and within a few days we should have a sea of blue covering our place. I can't wait to see what that will look like! The weather and rain fall have to be just right for this delicate little flower to bloom and we are hoping for a little more rain in the next few days to nurture them along.
